Joachim Howard

Managing Director

Originally from Melbourne, Joachim founded Ocean Alliance when he relocated to Sydney, Australia after gaining extensive first-hand experience within the international superyacht industry.

His roles were involved in the operation and management of both private and chartered superyachts in regions covering the globe.

After relocating to Sydney in 2006 following many years working in the industry abroad he was involved with the Australian agency for several key European shipyards.

He frequently returned to international boat shows & conferences while managing client’s new construction yachts and overseeing their delivery and management in Australia & Europe.

The Ocean Alliance headquarters were established in 2011 after identifying an industry shortfall of local and international experience.

His drive was a key interest in the development of the Australian charter & high-end brokerage market, coupled with the experienced representation and marketing of international cruising destinations.

Joachim’s extensive experience in the industry allows him to assist clients in all aspects of a superyacht experience including charter brokerage, charter management, yacht brokerage, new construction, operational guidance, commercial structures and superyacht marketing. His attention to detail and unwavering client-focused approach encompass the foundation of Ocean Alliance.

When he indulges in spare time, Jo loves surfing, escaping away with his wife and their dog Archie, and he particularly appreciates Italian red wines.

Louise grew up in the North Island of New Zealand. She spent many holidays venturing along the shores of NZ’s coastlines & exploring the many hidden gems.

After travelling extensively overseas in her youth throughout Europe, Canada, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific, she began her career as a Travel Agent working in the Corporate environment and she began to help others explore the world.

It was a natural progression for her to move into ownership of 2 Retail Travel Agencies and share her love of this Industry. She now has over 25 years’ experience in the Travel Industry.

Louise loves learning about the way people all around the world live, immersing herself in different cultures and their traditions.  She has seen many amazing wonders of our world and is endlessly inspired by nature and adventures.

She resides in the Blue Mountains (West of Sydney) with her husband, has 2 grown children and spends her spare time enjoying the outdoors and good food & wine.

Louise Conway

Charter Experience Broker

Nadia Khan

Marketing Coordinator

Born and raised in South Africa, Nadia found herself drawn to all the finer things in life as she grew up in luxurious hotels around South Africa.

Nadia was fortunate to have started traveling from a young age and found herself working as a stewardess on superyachts in Europe after graduating with her undergraduate degree in marketing. Here she realised her appreciation for luxury coupled with her love for the ocean can be packaged into offering unique experiences to guests on superyachts.

She later decided to further her studies by moving to Sydney, Australia to pursue a double degree master’s in marketing and media communication. Nadia knew mastering her marketing and media skills would allow her to provide a unique twist to marketing in any industry. Joining Ocean Alliance was faith as having worked on superyachts, Nadia knew she had the business acumen to know how to collaborate with teams on various strategies in this industry.

Outside of marketing superyachts, you can find Nadia lifting weights at the gym, bailing on her surfboard or enjoying the food Sydney has to offer.
