Originally from Melbourne, Joachim founded Ocean Alliance when he relocated to Sydney, Australia after gaining extensive first-hand experience within the international superyacht industry.
His roles were involved in the operation and management of both private and chartered superyachts in regions covering the globe.
After relocating to Sydney in 2006 following many years working in the industry abroad he was involved with the Australian agency for several key European shipyards.
He frequently returned to international boat shows & conferences while managing client’s new construction yachts and overseeing their delivery and management in Australia & Europe.
The Ocean Alliance headquarters were established in 2011 after identifying an industry shortfall of local and international experience.
His drive was a key interest in the development of the Australian charter & high-end brokerage market, coupled with the experienced representation and marketing of international cruising destinations.
Joachim’s extensive experience in the industry allows him to assist clients in all aspects of a superyacht experience including charter brokerage, charter management, yacht brokerage, new construction, operational guidance, commercial structures and superyacht marketing. His attention to detail and unwavering client-focused approach encompass the foundation of Ocean Alliance.
When he indulges in spare time, Jo loves surfing, escaping away with his wife and their dog Archie, and he particularly appreciates Italian red wines.

Charter Experience Manager
Born and raised in the South of France, Laurie was a Charter Manager with the prestigious Burgess Yachts in Monaco before her appointment with Ocean Alliance in December 2014.
She has expertly worked with an international fleet of high-end charter yachts ranging from 35 to 80 metres in length, and is familiar with cruising grounds stretching from the Mediterranean and Caribbean to the South Pacific’s trending gems.
Her yachting experience was launched at OceanStyle by Burgess in 2010, followed by a year in Sydney working within the domestic charter market.
Personal circumstances brought her back to Australia and she was delighted to be dropping anchor once again in Sydney!
Laurie’s expertise in International Charter Management together with her eye for detail and experience with high-profile yacht owners & captains are invaluable assets to the Australian and International charter markets.
She takes great pride in sharing her skills to raise the enjoyment of Superyacht Guests in a fresh, holistic and dynamic level.
Laurie is a native French speaker and is also fluent in Italian. She is trained as a Yoga Teacher, and has a passion for ocean “conversations” to protect the future of our Blue Planet!

Charter Experience Broker
Originally from Connecticut, Rose spent the better part of her upbringing in New York City. She studied the culinary arts, and then set up her own catering business while also working alongside Martha Stewart.
Rose began her yachting career on the Great Barrier Reef of Australia, working aboard as a Chef for the Marlin season. She continued her career on board both large sailing and motor yachts, embarking on several round-the-world voyages with the emphasis on sailing regattas, adventure and exploration. With her love of the water and her 20+ years scuba diving, Rose has the experience and passion for creating both adventurous itineraries as well as cultural excursions.
In her experience supporting individuals and their families working in environments that demanded attention to detail, conscientious interpersonal skills and a committed sense of discretion and confidentiality, is what provided the requirements for the long-term positions that she held. Rose has a proven ability to manage complex projects, which have included re-fit and custom-built yachts.
Rich from her first-hand knowledge travelling the world, Rose developed the ability to see both sides of the superyacht industry coin, allowing her to serve her clients from a bespoke perspective in Charter and beyond. She always prioritises her Clients’ best interests for unique moments on board the world’s finest yachts tailored to their unique ways to travel.
Now living in Gig Harbor outside of the Seattle Metropolitan Area, she has found the Pacific Northwest her home with her husband Brent and cat Kiki. Food, wine and travel are still what excites her and what she enjoys sharing with her clients.
Hannah is our newest team member, a young Australian woman with a keen interest in the development of sustainable promotional partnerships and digital marketing strategies.
Her affiliation with Ocean Alliance began in 2019 where she was welcomed into the team as Marketing Coordinator.
Passionate about delivering clients a customised approach to business growth, Hannah has refined her marketing skills throughout her prior role as Marketing Coordinator at the Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour and iconic bar, Hacienda Sydney.
Not afraid to get her hands dirty, her event coordination and client management skills helped facilitate the World Polo Championships (WPC) held in Sydney, in October 2017. Working in an extended contract role for WPC, Hannah combined her two passions; equestrian and marketing, to deliver an international sporting event with global recognition.
Growing up in Sydney within walking distance to the beach, Hannah’s connection with the ocean is generational. With early memories sailing the Whitsundays with her parents at the helm, Hannah’s spare time is usually spent in or around the water.
Bringing with her an extensive skill set in marketing, events and brand partnerships, Hannah is committed to the development of the super yacht industry and the Ocean Alliance Brand.
