“The crew on board Beluga have a beautiful family-like connection which shines through the identity of the yacht.”
by Ocean Alliance
Ocean Alliance hosted an exclusive Open Day on board the explorer yacht BELUGA and introduced her to the local charter market. The event took place on Thursday the 2nd of March 2017 in Jones Bay Wharf, Pyrmont, Sydney, located in front of the Flying Fish Restaurant. The open day ran from 2pm until 5.30pm. Guests who attended the open day include 35 charter brokers, agents, travel agents and media.
“We only have positive feedback to provide and we were very impressed with the crew, particularly Captain Bob.”
“Beluga looked amazing yesterday, thank you to Captain Bob and the Crew for their very insightful tours.
I loved hearing their stories and the adventures they have experienced with Beluga!”
On display we had the beautiful 113.8-foot (34.7-metre) Moonen 114 Explorer yacht BELUGA. “Like any Moonen, BELUGA is very well put together,” says Bob. “Dutch builders are the Rolls-Royce of yachting. With a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, she’s a very solid boat that can weather almost any storm, with state-of-the-art stabilisers and Lloyd’s ice class certification. We had some really bad weather in the Gulf of Aden – 55-60 knots and three-to-four-metre swells – and BELUGA came though without a scratch. Being in a storm in the open ocean is a true test of a boat’s mettle.”
“ZULU and the chaseboat adds so much value to BELUGA! I was so impressed by the quality of the boat, and her perfect condition.”
BELUGA feels more voluminous than you’d expect from a 35-metre boat. She has had 12 guess on board fishing, scuba diving, relaxing, and it never felt remotely crowded thanks to the ingenious layout.
