FONERS
FONERS, built in Spain by Izar and delivered in 2000, will always be remembered as FORTUNA. She is a luxurious vessel measuring approximately 43 meters in length. FONERS was launched in 2000 at the Empresa Nacional Bazán shipyard in San Fernando, Cádiz. The hull was designed by Donald L. Blount, the superstructure by Tomasso Spadolini, and the interiors were designed by Milanese designer Celeste Dell’Anna, all coordinated and inspired by Richard Cross. This summer marks exactly a decade since King Juan Carlos’s last pleasure yacht left the hands of the National Heritage. It was first returned to the foundation that had given it to the monarch. She has since been renamed FONERS and has undergone an extensive refit with her new Owner. For a more economic fuel consumption her original engines have been replaced. FONERS has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 8 adults and 2 children in 4 en-suite cabins. Recently the former study has been converted into a fifth cabin allowing for 2 more overnight guests. FONERS’s crew ensures that guests will have a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
