About ICARUS

ICARUS is one of the best sailing yachts of the modern Jongert fleet. Launched in 2006, she is an aluminium sailing yacht with a carbon rig. Doug Peterson’s traditional Dutch shipbuilding incorporating advanced technology sets ICARUS apart from all other yachts, with new technical innovation, fine craftsmanship, safety and reliability.

ICARUS can be piloted from the twin wheels aft, or from the wheelhouse. Wonderfully balanced she is a pleasure to sail for even the youngest member of the family, easily reaching 10knots in a fresh breeze. The integrated modern sailing winches leaves for a safe, open environment for walking on deck.
ICARUS is a pleasure to sail, with all the modern comfort on board.

Down below, ICARUS’S clean cut lines offer an easy atmosphere of no fuss comfort. Ebony coloured flooring and teak coloured walls, complimented by white sofas, espouses a feeling of unparalleled luxury throughout.

Luxuriously sleeping six guests, her twin cabins with separate beds and master cabin with double bed all come with ensuite bathrooms, TV, DVD and satellite. ICARUS’S interior oozes a sophisticated modern ambience, giving a sense of rejuvenation and luxury.
