Lamima
Launched in 2014, the 65m/214ft custom luxury yacht Lamima was constructed using traditional methods by local boatbuilders on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi. A classic Phinisi (Indonesian two-masted ship), she features traditional Indonesian craftsmanship by Pak Haji Baso and exterior design from Spanish designer Marcelo Penna. She offers a massive 900 sqm of usable space, accommodating 14 guests across 7 spacious, beautifully appointed cabins and suites.
Lamima’s stunning interiors are contemporary and welcoming, with beautiful Southeast Asian influences reflected in her furnishings and finishes. The yacht’s 11.2m beam helps create inviting, spacious indoor spaces. Featuring an open plan saloon on the main deck, with a large living area, full bar, and a vast dining table. There is also a large, shaded area for al fresco dining and lounging as well as Lamima’s ‘relaxation quarter’, where guests can enjoy traditional Indonesian Pijat massages, as well as a range of spa treatments available throughout the day.
The upper deck extends forward of the pilot house and is furnished with Indonesian sun mattresses, where guests can relax and unwind whilst enjoying the stunning scenery.
The yacht’s 7 ensuite guest cabins include a main deck master suite with a private terrace forward. There are ample exterior deck areas for lounging with clear views of the dramatic Indonesian landscape, and outdoor dining enjoyed under the cooling shade of a bimini. When the nights draws in, the yacht’s stunning outdoor cinema brings starlit movie magic.
Lamima is ideally suited for swimming, diving, snorkeling, kayaking and paddleboarding. The diving here is without question some of the best in the world, with unprecedented marine biodiversity and water clarity. Lamima’s dive operations are second to none in Indonesia. A dive boat offers seamless yacht-to-tender dive and snorkel experiences, with two dive masters as part of the crew. Guests can dive up to 4 times a day, and for new divers, the yacht is a licensed PADI dive center where guests can get certified right onboard.
Guests can explore dramatic limestone islands, hidden lagoons and marine life including turtles, whale sharks, pygmy seahorses, manta rays and vibrant coral reef ecosystems. The crystal-clear waters and pristine dive sites offer a mix of hard corals, barrel sponges and soft corals teeming with colorful fish.
While onboard Lamima, Indonesian gourmet chefs take great pride in sourcing the freshest ingredients from high-quality Indonesian suppliers, local markets, and fishermen. A mix of Indonesian and international food can be served according to guest preferences. Additional crew services include a yoga teacher and an expert guide whose deep understanding of the local culture and biodiversity provides insight into every charter. A regularly updated toy chest, including a jet surfboard, kayaks, jet skis and paddle boards adds the final touch to an impressive charter package.
