Superyacht anchoring during Sydney Fireworks
Joachim Howard, Managing director of the luxury yacht charter division at Ocean Alliance, shared with Boat International advice on where to anchor your superyacht on New Year’s Eve.
As a Charter guest onboard a superyacht on Sydney Harbour for NYE you are afforded the luxury of a designated area for anchoring. This allows large yachts to anchor in position safely with vessels of similar sizes. The superyacht exclusion zone is situated directly South of Bradleys Head and in my opinion is one of the best positions in the harbour to view the fireworks. Between the anchorage and the Harbour Bridge there is a stretch of fireworks barges that give our guests the most dramatic viewpoint to bring in the new year.
