MASTEKA 2 CRUISING NEW CALEDONIA AS THE FIRST FOREIGN-FLAGGED SUPERYACHT FOR CHARTER
by Ocean Alliance.
We are delighted to announce a new exciting destination for the popular 37m MASTEKA 2. Following an extensive shipyard period, Captain Matthew Stafford looks forward to sharing his experience in New Caledonia.
Available from 15th August to late October 2017 in New Caledonia, she will return to the Sydney shores and taking charters from 1st November through to March 2018.
New Caledonia has the world‘s largest lagoon: 24,000 km2, proclaimed a world heritage site by UNESCO. It offers a 1,500 km (930 miles) long coral reef, inhabited by a vast variety of marine life.
New Caledonia has been described as “the land of eternal spring” as it is blessed with a pleasant sub-tropical climate all year around.
July to September are the popular months to watch humpback whales shelter in the lagoon, travelling from Antarctica to breed and give birth.
Night dives in Isle of Pines are renowned for their mysterious atmosphere, with the mantarays and loggerhead turtles. Other sites of interest include Kasmira reef, Faille de Noupoa, Garden of Eden, or Passe de Gie. Recife de l’Aiguille (Prony Needle) is a divers’ paradise with its pinnacle that extends 35m from the sea.
