Megan Beker, Chief Stewardess of 27m Horizon superyacht AURA, spoke to us about what makes AURA a standout charter superyacht, as well as how yachting is the passion that keeps on giving.
Watch Megan’s interview here:
Megan has been aboard AURA since the arrival of the 2023-built yacht into Australia, and brings a wealth of global charter experience. AURA is currently based out of Coral Sea Marina in Airlie Beach, the gateway to the 74 tropical islands of The Whitsundays.
According to Megan, one of the distinctive aspects of the AURA experience is the homely environment when onboard the yacht.
“AURA feels more like a home, a townhouse, than a yacht,” Megan explains. “You tend to forget that you are actually floating on the water!”
The modern and spacious feel of AURA is enhanced by her light interiors, with plenty of natural light flooding the social spaces.
The yacht is blessed with fantastic social spaces across her exterior decks, where guests can really maximise their time spent in the tropical Whitsundays climate. A particular attraction for guests in the Sun Deck, which benefits from a Jacuzzi, bar, and outdoor barbeque.
Further home comfort comes in the cabin configuration of AURA. Of the 5 cabins, there is one Owner’s suite and 4 VIP cabins, all with ensuite.
For Megan, personal satisfaction comes from the opportunities for new adventures and to make new connections with people.
“Who wouldn’t love it? My office changes every day. We get to meet new people and have fun, seeing the most amazing places in the world!
“One of my favourite things is experiencing new personalities and people, and getting to show them my backyard. Then for them to go away with with those memories, it’s awesome.”
