Italy: Book Charters Early for VAT Reduction

Superyacht charters in Italy booked before the 1st November 2020 will quality for the current 6.6% VAT scheme, and will apply for all 2021 bookings. From 1st November a 22% VAT will apply to all charters starting in Italian waters.

To benefit from the reduced rate on charters beginning in Italy, bookings must be made and deposits paid before the November 1st cut off date. The implementation of the new VAT rate had been delayed over the Mediterranean summer season.
