The beautiful custom explorer yacht, AKIKO, is set to return to The Kimberley in April 2024 to offer the opportunity for adventure-filled charters in Australia’s ruggedly enchanting natural wilderness. Benefitting from a recent refurbishment and upgrade, AKIKO offers an incredible platform for yacht charters with a fine balance between exploration and luxury.
AKIKO in The Kimberley: A Perfect Match
AKIKO has long been one of the superyachts most synonymous with experiences in The Kimberley region. This is a unique area of the world that can only truly be accessed by yacht or aviation. Through AKIKO, charter guests can open up a range of awe-inspiring experiences that simply are not available anywhere else – and these can be enjoyed in the upmost comfort and luxury of an award-winning superyacht.
AKIKO is designed for exploration, adventure and long-range cruising. For charters in The Kimberley, AKIKO boasts exceptional expedition capabilities to navigate the thrilling waterways and reefs, with an experienced crew on hand to pass on expert destination knowledge to charter guests.
The Kimberley is a haven for adventurous activities that can be incorporated into a yacht charter itinerary. Among the most popular activities here is fishing. The huge tidal range of up to 11 metres creates fantastic creek and river fishing for Barramundi. AKIKO is well-equipped to accommodate sportsfishing enthusiasts, or those who simply want to indulge in the yacht’s luxurious amenities and soak up the pristine surrounding natural environment.
AKIKO: Rejuvenated and Ready
AKIKO has been recently relaunched onto the Australian yacht charter market following a significant upgrade to her platform. The extensive refit included a hull extension to provide even more space for charter guests to enjoy, as well as a complete interior redesign.
AKIKO can accommodate up to 12 liveaboard guests in five luxurious cabins. The principal charterer will benefit from a full-beam Owner’s Suite, stretching across the bridge deck to provide plenty of space for relaxation, while four other generous guest cabins complete the configuration.
For those looking for more on-water thrills to enhance their experience of The Kimberley, AKIKO is packed with an array of exciting water toys and tenders. This arsenal provides everything needed to cruise the diverse waters in this region, including a 7.5m Smuggler RIB Tender, 2 x 5.5m Barra boats, and a 10m Naiad RIB.
